Privacy Policy
Effective 6 July 2026. Last updated 6 July 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Betches Walking Betches operating system (the “Platform” or the “Service”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information. The Platform is a pet-care business operating system used by dog walking and pet sitting companies (each a “Provider”) to run their operations, and by their clients (pet parents) to manage their pets and bookings. The Platform is operated by Betches Walking Betches (“BWB”, “we”, “us”, “our”), which also runs its own pet-care business as a Provider on the Platform. This policy covers the web app at app.evreepet.com and our mobile apps, including the staff app used by pet-care team members and the client app used by pet parents. If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, contact us at privacy@evreepet.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run pet-care services and to operate the Platform. This includes:
- Account information: your name, email address, phone number, role, and login credentials.
- Family and pet profiles: details about your household and your pets, such as a pet’s name, breed, age, temperament, feeding and medication instructions, vet details, and care notes.
- Contact information: the phone numbers, emails, and emergency contacts you provide.
- Addresses and access instructions: the service address where a walk or sit takes place, along with any home-access details you choose to share (for example lockbox codes, alarm codes, or entry notes) so the team can safely reach and care for your pet.
- Payment information: billing details for the services you book. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Full card numbers are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored on our servers; we retain only limited records such as the last four digits, a payment reference, and the amount and status of a transaction.
- Messages: the messages, comments, and report-card notes you send through the Platform.
- Documents and e-signatures: agreements, service documents, and the electronic signatures you provide to accept them.
- Device and usage information: basic technical data such as app version, device type, and log data used to keep the Service secure and working.
2. Location data (staff app, during a walk only)
The staff app used by pet-care team members collects precise location, including in the background, only while a walk is active. Tracking begins when a team member taps to start a walk and stops the moment they tap to end that walk. We do this so we can record the route of your pet’s walk and show it to you, the pet parent, on the report card for that walk, giving you a clear, honest picture of where your dog went and how far they walked.
Location is not collected continuously and is not collected when a team member is not on an active walk. There is no background location tracking outside the start-walk to end-walk window. When a walk ends, precise and background location collection stops. A team member can decline location access, in which case a walk can still be logged without a recorded route.
3. Camera, photos, and microphone
The staff app can access the camera, photo library, and microphone so team members can capture photos, short videos, and audio voice-notes during a walk or sit. This media is attached to the report card for that visit and shared with the pet parent so you can see and hear how your pet is doing. The app requests these permissions at the point of use, and you can decline or later revoke them in your device settings.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to provide and improve the Service, specifically to: create and manage accounts; schedule, run, and record pet-care visits; produce report cards with routes, photos, video, and notes; process payments and send receipts; send service messages such as booking confirmations and updates; provide customer support; keep the Service secure and prevent misuse; and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. Each Provider’s data is kept isolated from every other Provider’s data.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the Platform, and only as needed to deliver the Service to you:
- Stripe processes card payments and handles your card details directly.
- Resend delivers transactional and service emails on our behalf.
- Google Calendar and Apple Calendar receive booking and visit details only if you choose to connect your calendar, and only for the calendar you connect.
- Cloud storage and hosting providers store the Platform’s data and the report-card media (photos, video, and audio) on managed, access-controlled infrastructure.
We may also share information where required by law, to protect the rights and safety of people and pets, or as part of a business transfer. Within the Platform, your pet-care information is shared with the Provider serving you and the team members assigned to your pet.
6. Google API Services and Limited Use
If you connect a Google account so the Service can read or write your Google Calendar, the Platform’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the calendar features you request, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties for advertising or other unrelated purposes, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security or to comply with the law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymised. You can disconnect Google at any time in your account settings or via your Google account permissions.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and pet-care information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service. Report-card media such as photos, video, and audio is retained so you can revisit past visits. Raw GPS location pings collected during walks are pruned after about 90 days; the walk summary shown on the report card may be kept for longer as part of your service history. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, subject to any records we must keep to meet a legal, tax, or accounting obligation.
8. Your rights and choices
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, and ask us to delete your information. You can also manage device permissions, such as location, camera, photos, and microphone, in your device settings, and disconnect any calendar you have linked. To make a request, contact us at privacy@evreepet.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is for pet-care businesses and adult pet parents. The pet profiles in the Platform describe animals, not children. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@evreepet.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on managed cloud infrastructure. Each Provider’s data is isolated using tenant-scoped access controls, including row-level security, so one Provider cannot access another Provider’s data. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
11. International users
The Platform is operated from, and stores data on infrastructure located in, the regions of our hosting and service providers. If you access the Service from outside those regions, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own, and we take steps to protect it consistent with this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions, requests, or complaints about this policy or your information, contact us at privacy@evreepet.com and we will be glad to help.
